The Arkansas Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors requires that professional engineers must obtain 15 PDH of continuing education every year by December 31st. At least 5 PDH must be earned in each professional engineering course. The remaining 10 PDH may be obtained in any subject that would be applicable to the profession. Beginning in 2009, professional engineers will renew their license every two years. Odd-numbered licenses will renew in odd-numbered years and even-numbered licenses will renew in even-numbered years. All renewals submitted during 2008 for the 2009 year will remain the same and are not affected. The Board does not pre-approve providers or specific courses. each engineer must determine whether an activity meets the Board's requirements.
