Florida State Requirements

Florida Engineers are required to take eight (8) hours of board-approved Professional Development Hours (PDH) continuing education credit every two years by Feb. 28th. Four (4) hours must be Laws & Rules of Chapter 471 and 61G15 F.A.C. and four (4) hours of Areas of Practice. The license biennium is from March 1, 2007 through February 28, 2009.

A person who was licensed during the March 2007 to February 2009 biennium and passes the Florida Exam shall be exempt from Continuing Education. However, he is required to pay the renewal fee.

If licensure was achieved in the State of Florida by Endorsement (Comity) during the March 2007 to February 2009 biennium, the licensee shall be required to complete all continuing education requirements and pay the renewal fee.
